EA frameworks are used to define and manage EA. There are considerable number of EA frameworks which can be classified in the following categories:

General-purpose EA frameworks:

General-purpose frameworks can be customized for a broad range of organizations and industries. Some of popular general-purpose enterprise architecture frameworks are:

  • The Zachman Framework
  • The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF)
